Introduction
Padel is the fastest growing sport in the world, with an enormous boom in Europe/US and middle east countries, the sport has found millions of new addicts around the world. Even though this racket sport is easy to pick up, players should start young and get good habits and form at a young age. The sport is planning to become an Olympic sport and to be honest it will certainly take over racket sports such as Squash or badminton in less than a decade.
Vietpadel Academy has designed a padel program that fits youngsters. With the help of professionals, passionate players and parents, we have created a well balanced padel program that fits the small ones. With fun games, active drills, we engage the kids in a playful environment that allows them to grow their confidence, potential. They will also be learning new techniques and skills. The biggest advantage of Padel is that the pitches (courts) and bats (rackets) are small and we play on artificial grass (to avoid injuries) which fit the kids perfectly.

The Students
At this age, the player is still small and has little strength, has little power in his swing of the bat (racket). It is at the same time very important and very easy to develop speed at this age. The motor skill is still developing but kids are capable of slow multiple tasks and can engage the lower and upper body at the same time, eye-hands-feet coordination still needs to be developed to play a racket sport and most importantly kids start to have a better understanding of instructions and need to stay focus more and more. Starting young will allow them to improve all that and get natural abilities when they are getting older.

Key Learning
For this age group at Vietpadel academy we focus on 4 key learning:
- The fun part of the game. At this age it is possible to have a lot of fun already on the pitch, kids will learn to play the game, with a lot of different playing formats, we are focusing on the entertainment aspect. Kids can have small matches and competitions together, doing team games and also solo games.
- The mental: We still develop the focusing skill (listening and applying what the coach says), also work on the aspect of winning/losing in a match, don’t give up! And keep fighting spirit. The importance of enjoying the game.
- The physical: At this young age, we continue to develop physically the eye-hands-feet coordination, and also the speed reaction. Kids need to improve their agility and footwork movement, as well as their hands skills.
- The technique: At this age the kids still have little interest in the technique but they understand what makes them succeed or not. We unlock some simple technique for them to have more success in their games, they are slowly understanding the importance in it. More specifically techniques like Volley - Smash - sometimes (Virboja - bajada) are slowly taught to incorporate in their game.
